maximase86
I'm a big fan of JL subs. A W6 or W7 would go nicely, probably in 10in form at most. But only because I like clean tight bass. Every now and then boom is nice. Are you adding to the stock Bose system? If you don't want huge boom, and save some trunk space, you might look into maybe an Infinity Basslink. ViperVettte
the dub7 is too expensive if your looking to do it for 1k, I would say go with the dub6 and a nice amp, maybe some fiberglass? imoBut non-imo, like what you should actually do is PM Bing, best audiophile on here. Bing_0
yeah w7 may put you out of the price range or into the price range where you just got a ole box hehethere are other subs that cost a bit less, perhaps even less thant he w6, but has more output would love to try a few in a G.but i honestly hope hes got more htan just the stock bose to tap into, cause one, if he just does a sub, its gonna drown out the bose a lot and also cuase cancellation due to the fact that his bose plays full range. also, its gonna sound strange cuase bose headuntis does some funky eqing with the sound. :)
c70keeb
It is a sedan and he has the stock headunit bing.
ViperVettte
gah, I hate bose and anything that bose has ever made. If you ask why, we will just blame it on the middle range being absent from their home systems... but there are more reasons that just that, mainly quality, they have screwed me over before. Bing_0
It is a sedan and he has the stock headunit bing.i sent you a PM...if he has a stockheadunit, honestly, before anyhting tell him to spend hte money on an overall install of just a sub.if he can pull together another 500, i can do a nice simple and clean custom insatll in his car that will sound REALLY nice you spend 1000 bucks on just a stock system with no upgrades elsewhere, tw things will happen:1. the bass will sound crappy cause the stock headunit screws with bass and treble settings as you manipulate the volume2. the bass is going to overwhelm his stock seakers upfront.hit me back via PM or call 408 533 2399, gotta go work on this car now..b
Pinstripes925
In my friends G35 coupe he is using the stock head unit with a pre amp for his 2 10" alpine type r's. idk how much bigger the sedans trunk is then the coupe, but in his coupe the 2 10" subs barley fit in his trunk. That is a reason he sold me his 2 alpine type r's in the 12 inch size. if u could i would go with the JL.
Bing_0
oh wait, i know iforgot sometihing, unless he pics up that 400 dolalr kit from japan, he cant do an aftermarket headunit on the G if i remember correctly.well, in that case, still should get a nice audio control LC6 piece to sum and smooth out hte output b
