Wow!

I obeyed some advice from bing (always a good idea) and got my new HU yesterday, a Panasonic CQ-C8100U

and WOW the sound quality is already amazing, and that's with all the stock speakers and the stock amp. i know i'll get flamed, but i bought it at Ultimate Electronics because they have outstanding customer service and free install. i honestly don't trust myself to do the install and do the wiring and such. i could, but hey if it's a free pro install, why not?

all in all it cost me about 380. i was hoping for a little less, but oh well. The HU is amazing, full motion dot matrix display that looks awesome at night. it lights up the whole front of the car with an awesome blue hue.

now my question is, where should i go from here? i'm thinkin replace the four door speakers w/ amp, then do the 6x9's then do subs (if $ permits) what y'all think?

great pick up, lovely graphics eh? :)

if I were you and want to do the next upgrade, you have to decide which directions you want to go:

1. pretty good sound quality

or

2. really good sound quality

if you go with the first route, the next step IMO should be front and rear door speakres, and a nice four channel amp to power them.

if ou want to go the second route: i would think about kicks for the front, okay speakres for the rear doors, and again, a nice four channel amp to power them...or just a two channel to powr the front and leave the rear on headunit power.

in terms of cost, the first option should cost you about 3-400 in equipment if you use good but not expensive components, the second option should be 4-5 in equiment.

sub and sub amp comes later...but with option 2, i would get a 4 channel to power the front kicks and the sub or subs in the trunk.

i would say a csx 510 for the front doors, a cxe 510 for hte rear doors, and then for amp, maybe a coustic 480Q or similar, and of course a wiring kit :)

go to www.crystalmobilesound.com for info on their stuff...
