MadeInJapan
I really don't like the idea of puttind a pod on my A-pillar or some ugly thing sticking up or out at me, and I don't want more than one gauge. Then I had an idea....how about one that is next to one of the switches or buttons on the dash, like next to the fog light switch, etc. Has anyone done this, or know if there is a gauge sold that is small enough to do this? I set my steering wheel low enough that seeing the button on the left side would be no problem. I would have to move my antenna down switch to the right side to give me room for 2 but that wouldn't be any issue at all. I'm including a picture as to where I'm talking about (the unused space on the far right and the space next to it- as stated, the arial down switch would have to be moved):
StevieB
Look for 1.5" gauges, I know that Stewart Warner has some. You may be able to fit a 2" gauge with some modification to the switch housing.
Jaxx
jermey was thinking about this before, he wanted to put on were the headlight switch was... or something like that.
Asinine
isn't someone right now working on a gauge that goes in air vents?!i can't remember where i read it, maybe member announcments!?May not be what you're looking for, but it would be a gauge, and it wouldn't be an a-pillar! VolvoGrrrr
javadoc put his boost guage into the driver side vent (the single one). I'm sure someone could fab something for the center vents (similar to the one AWE has for the Audi crew).
MadeInJapan
In the driver's side vent sounds reasonable. I don't use that vent anyway. I usually have it shooting straight up if on or completely shut down...but still would like to fab one into the switch area as I originally posted. Any of these fabs, if they exist....would like to see a picture of them. Just got back my IPD ECU and really need a boost gauge.
Jaxx
yeah, someone did the vent with a broken gauge... looked good, but i wouldn't really like it... of course, it's your call.
lextildeath
Holy crap. Weird seeing this topic. I ordered an OBX gauge on ebay this past monday and recieved it thursday. Thursday night, I installed that sucker. I had 2 open spots where u had one and I took them out and used a utility knife to get all the extra plastic out and put the light switch there and I put the boost gauge where the light switch was after doing some slight plastic shaving in there as well. Heres the thing. I noticed another open space thingy near the switches for the odometer etc that is vented instead of solid like the other open space thingies. You can put that switch with the "Y" on it in there, move the light switch to those 2 open spaces and put a 52mm boost gauge where the light switch was like I did. MadeInJapan
Yeah, that's sort of what I'm talking about...do you have pictures? Would love to see them. Don't know why this got moved from the Mod section...doesn't sound like detailing to me to be honest, but anyway, it's here.... ;)

Boomin850
Wow, That is indeed Ghetto! Just wait till Owned makes his guage cluster things. He is working on some that go where the ashtray is and where the vents are. Here is the LINK Oh and just so you know, he does super nice installs so I wouldn't worry about how they're gonna come out I just took 50 pics with a crappy digital camera. PyROZen
i put my boost guage in the Dr. side air vent and wrapped the piece in fake-suedelooks great and most people don't even notice the guage over there. once i tell ppl it's a boost guage they tell me they thought it was a stock clock
nogoat
^^ I do like that a lot. Only if i had a reason for a boost guage...
MadeInJapan
I like it a lot too...too bad on the S70 there isn't an upper and a lower driver's side vent....There's only an upper. Still want mine in the row of switches somehow.
