tallahasseegreys
My tailgate rattles like hell. Most of the clips are broken off, big surprise. The rattle repair kit should come in the mail today. Will the kit be enough to kill all the rattling, or should I peel & seal it as well?If ya'll do recommend peel & sealing, can I do it at a later date after the rattle repair kit is installed...that is, can the panel be easily removed after the rattle repair kit is installed without breaking the new clips?FYI, the rattling is only from normal road driving. I don't need extra rattle protection from bass. Thanks.
drPheta
Yeah, you can peel and seal later, if you're careful, you won't need to replace any clips.

Guest Guest_shadetek
The mod kit does not compensate for the thickness of the plastic it has to replace, so pack it out with cloth or foam untill it stops rattling!
tallahasseegreys
shadetek - Please elaborate---I'm not sure I follow you. Especially, "The mod kit does not compensate for the thickness of the plastic it has to replace".Thanks!
jda2000
Make sure you tighten all bolts in that area while you're there, the latch and wiper motor.what he means is: to use felt tape or a piece of foam on the egde that's close to the glass, where the upper clips install.
