SO those look like your OE power wires running to your terminals? How hard was it to re-end them to attach to your new Tsunami terminals? I just bought some (the ones with the screw down inlets) but my wires dont seem to have a lot of slack to them. I didn't want to cut the old terminals just to find I have screwed myself.

Also, is it do-able, and if so feasible to update the original power wires for the car? I imagine that they have gotten a bit tired by now. If we are all going so far as to have a nice ground, does it make sense to make sure we are supplying clean power?

there isn't any slack from stock wires but you can find some. cut some on the zap straps and you will find some mor. you'll need some connectors, 4 gauge.

changing neg wires are easy, pos wires are hard...just trace em back and you'll see

I hope Im not about to steal your thread (please let me know if you feel like I am and I'll take it elsewhere), but I went ahead and installed a tsunami negative terminal this weekend, along with replacing the primary ground to the motor. I actually replaced it with just the generally used 4 gauge audio cable most of us are using for our ground wire set ups. Now Im wondering if maybe I made a mistake. The factory main ground looked a decent bit heavier (maybe 2 gauge?) and of thicker wire. Im wondering a) if It'll be able to carry enough charge compared to the factory and b ) if that wire and jacket might melt due to the heat transfer off the block. I have no idea how durable those wires are.

Any ideas?

you're not going OT, so its no prob.

anyways the main ground to the motor is 2 guage. You might want to use 2 gauge instead of 4, since its half the size basically.

However, since you have that 2 gauge wire, there it another ground on the engine block, the top right hand corner of the cam cover. One is used, the other is empty. You can run the wire from there to the neg terminal of your battery.

Hmmm, think I may try that. Although I may just use some more 4 gauge. At the moment, I am very hesitant to cut the 2 gauge off the old terminal. I already made that boo-boo with the smaller of the two stock grounds coming off the original terminal. Fortunately that one is routed rather stupidly (wasting a whole lot of run) and could be rejoined to the terminal at a later date if I wanted to. Should I have a major melt-down or something, I want to keep the original ground and terminal at hand. (I risk balance a portfolio for a living, whaddya want from me? :) )
