i have an 2001 S80. it's from wheel with a B6284T engine with a 4T65E-GT transmission.

1) so the question is: is there a manual transmission for this car, even in the euro-market

2) whould something like this be worthit consider with i've already put into it and will continue to put into it) http://www.transmissioncenter.net/alto_2.htm (i know someone that done this, but second opionion are like gold when it comes to transmissions).

3) are www.levelten.com product worth while options

4) is there something else that i should also consider?

thanks everyone! this is hard info to come by; in my experience.

1}I see no less than 5) B524~ engines, and 2) D52~ engines which could have used a M56 tranny, however, I see no listing for anything other than what you have for your engine for LHD or RHD, this is from V@DIS.

...............

2} Those are only the clutch pack parts so don't be decieved for you will have bearings, bands, seals, and gaskets on top of that plus labor.

3} I've no information.

4} dito

....................

Do remember the factory does not authorize transmission rebuilds nor supply parts so you are at the mercy of independent shops giving you all the info.

Having the best parts in the world will do you no good if not properly installed or abused and months out of your life should you try to adapt something that wasn't designed to fit. You certainly won't get your money invested out of it should you attempt something so drastic as installing a manual tranny.

Cheers,
