General Disarray
On my steering wheel the crease that slices open is open about halfway to where you can see the airbag and on the passenger side the piece that covers the airbag is starting to peal off. Does anybody else have this problem or know how to fix it.

rodrigo
have you tried re-installing the airbag portion of the steering wheel?I did this on my 940, but on the passenger side (PITA)...I guess the long bolts came loose after a lot of potholes, and the bag unit was actually bouncing up and down, and had a visible gap tp the dash.If you try it, make sure the battery is disco's, and keys are out of ignition, and pray to the detonator gods before removal...exploding airbags in your face is:1. dangerous2. expensive3. painfull4. all of the above. When I took my dash pad off to route wires underneath, I was shaking in my shoes thinking the air bag was going to go off!

JoshV70
Does it matter if the battery is still plugged in?I would really disconnect the battery first just to be safe. You're removing the ground wire from the airbag, and pulling plugs on the airbag. Definitely don't want to have to replace a dash pad because you blew a whole through it.
