ericutexas
I had both the Passport 8500 and the Valentine One. Had the V1 first, then tried the Passport before taking it back because I decided it had to have the directional arrows. Also, V1 sells a remote display, so I have the main unit mounted right under the tint band to the right of the rearview mirror, and you can run the remote display anywhere you want ... makes for a nice clean install without wires hanging off windshield/dash. W.A. Lancaster
I have used Escorts products since the original came out in the 80's. Thought they were the best thing going until I tried the V 1, it is the best of the bunch so far.

SkyWriter
0 ears afoAnybody know of a good radar jammer?interesting... besides fox in the sheep defense; you gotta have good brakes and suspension to make a convincing speed adhustment. i was under the inpression they were illegal due to frustrated LE, and aond violate FCC regulation (shacking in my boots)i have the V1, i'm not sure what 'instant on' connotates, i have forgone tickets due to proper driving limits and sensible habits (740 wagon teaches you slow) by the way: anyone get a laser bust/indication? honestly, LE seems lazyier than that were 27 years ago around here
550
instant on is radar that stays dormant but flashes on when it sense movementor it could also be radar that only blips... fast enough to not really register much on your detector. JHEIII874T5M
Yeah, the V1 does a great job of picking up the radar, but I'd rather just jam it and then take my time slowing down.

Mr. Norm
Bottom line - V1 is the only detector out there with active front- and rear-facing antennas and electronics. You are not depending on bounce from other surfaces to warn you of different threats.Nope, K40 did it b4 the V1.
