Canadian International Auto Show

So, the auto show started in Toronto on Saturday I guess, and we got the manufactuers discount and headed down today.

Nothing really stood out. In fact, i'm really getting sick of how flimsy these cars feel. Like, there are so many interior parts that just won't stand up to a long lifespan i don't think. Some exceptions would be Acura, the new Sonata felt nice, and the Legacy felt AMAZING!!

Anyhow, here are some pics i shot.. i know, everyone does this artistic car shot crap when they are there.. but whatever!?

This thing is sweet.. just like my first car, but mine was red and less dents and all the lenses, and sweet tints, and lame vinyl!

I COULD NOT BELIEVE they didn't have a V70R there.. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

Other notes

- IS350 is ergonomically poor if you're at all bigger than average (drivers side door controls are awkward)

- Subaru Legacy doors are amazing. 1) no window frame goes with the door 2) it takes next to no effort to fully close the door!

- The new Sonata is a great bang for the buck if it drives even half decent

- Saab 'combisport' wagons (i think that's what they are called) are sweet

That is all!!

Next time i go, i'm just going to take pictures of stupid people taking pictures, instead of being a stupid person taking a picture!

dude auto shows are The boring! Feels like you're walking through a bunch of conjoined dealerships. Maybe its the fact that i'm not looking to buy a new car that i dont like them, but whatever. I went to the detroit auto show this year and when i left i thought "never again." Next auto show i'm going to will be autorama and i'll try to get a pic of me and Chip.

If you want to see cool volvo stuff, don't go. There were both XC ORE cars, a regular XC90 v70, v50, s40, s60, c70 (off limits), S60R, and maybe an XC70.

Adam, definitly not good. I go mostly because in interested in the new car industry from a business interest not a consumer interest, but definitly not fun.

HOWEVER, me and my buddy i went with did go on the Toyota 4x4 track. Needed G2 or G lic. and 19+ and you took out either a 4Runner (what i had), Tacoma TRD (my buddy), FJ or Tundra. The FJ was like a 3 hour wait, so we didn't. It was a pretty neat course. I've done some technical off roading (passenger), but driving a terrain course was good.

And like a 45 minute wait today - had lunch, my friend had a smoke, and then we were driving.

Definitly disappointed though!! :(

nice pics

but even crappy DC auto show had V70R and S60R and I could seat in both cars

The had both last year too.. but last year i was driving a Civic.. now i'm in a volvo wagon. Last year i thought the S60R was the shiz, this year i know of the new lineup it's the V.

I feel so ripped off!!

Oh, another kind of funny thing. There is a Canadian Armed Forces display with one of the G units. haha.. Well Mercedes G trucks we've retrofitted. And then there is a survailence 6 wheeled mo fo. It smells like 1970's computers and the seat is all taped up with duct tape.

Really... we're so ghetto!

Meh. If only you could sit in the good cars at Auto Shows. Cars like the Murcielago, the ME412, or the new Veyron.

Like at the boat show, boat shows are great casue they let you on EVERYTHING, and never cram you on! That's by far my favourite vehicle show!

No problem G!!
