Ok, maybe cause you guys have 'jobs' or whatever you don't have this excellent opportunity.

But Canada is playing Russia in the quarter finals today. After sucking large in the round robin, barely beating the Checz(wow?)s.

Intense fast, hard hitting, proud hockey!! And at the first intermission on CBC at least they showed the final in womans short track speed skating relay. It was INTENSE!!! 1 false start, korean broad got kicked with a speed skate by a canadian and another race re-start and a CRAZY final that could have gone so many ways!

Wow.. go canada go, but i'm having a great olympic moment over here. Just up at my computer sending some hockey update SMSs.

GO CANADA GO!

No vodka beats Crown Royal, which used to be made within 200' of my house. Still says Waterloo, ON on the bottle!!

Anyhow, none of our players wanted it enough. They take it like a right of being a top scorer in the NHL. That's crap!

And they are so old and slow. Canadian hockey won't win on an international rink. The Europeans have too much finesse and we just dump and chase tiring ourselves out.

We need a team, not a bunch of superstars!

I wonder if Gretzky bet on Russia? haha

They were playing to win, that's true, the russians were a better squad - faster, knew where each were on the ice, and wanted it more.

I don't think it's that big of a suprise though. The games we've lost and the calibre of play was disappointing throughout.

I heard that the russian team (pretty much the whole team) played together through the lockout season with international rules.

I think it comes down to super stars vs. super team and the super team will always win. Our legendary players can't keep up.. we NEEDED crosby, that kid's passion could have help fill Mario's void a LOT!

How much love for Canada can Sakic have after living in the US for the past 10, by comparison to the russian or other european countries where national pride is more important than money - unlike the US and our American-ized Canadians

btw, half of Canadian team played in Europe during a lock out. Lecavalier, Brad Richards and Dany Heatley played in Russian league in the same team. so no excuses about international rules, and we won and I can celebrate today :D
