He called me a couple days later, 'hey this kid mikie wants to race you, he has a acura tsx with vtec controller, full greddy dual exhaust setup, headers, and intake and hes claiming 230hp'. So I agreed and just told him to call me whenever he was out with the kid, and i get the call this past friday.So we go meet him at a parking lot, car looks pretty nicely setup and then i follow him to a deserted street by tropical park. the street is a dead end street two lanes across that could probably fit 4 lanes with no problems. Two people in each car, we agreed to run and let off at 80, off the line. My friend in the tsx counted to 3 and we both hit it. I got about 15-20 feet of wheelspin and then when my tires caught I grabbed about a 1/2 car on him. By 35 I had a car and a half and by 80 I had 2.5-3 cars, enough to have gotten in front of him and let him take a nice look at my moose, which he was looking at back in the parking lot we met in.Cutoff @ 80, where he pulled up next to me and replied with "i dont get how a volvo just beat me". The kid has about 800-1000$ in mods to the car, Ive got my 50$ k&n filter. Volvo 1, Acura 0. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I used to go to school with the kid, and I was hearing that from some of my friends while the race was being setup, he was talking crap about how easy it would be to take a volvo. Its one thing to beat a stock car, but an expensive stock car thats been modded for performance is even better. if anyone else talks crap about volvos, tell them theres a 11 year old one that will beat them too, just give Joseph a call and tell him to pass the info on to me, it would be worth an hour drive. Lets set out to destroy the other ranks of cars. Granted I raced a S40 yesterday, but that was all fun and games. I didn't rub it in... Nice kill.
