Smoove1 Posted February 26, 2006 Report Share Posted February 26, 2006 My Girlfriend has a 2000 C70 convertable that the top won't go down on. The top unlatches itself from the windshied and the rear of the top lifts up but the toneau cover for the top does not lift up. If anyone has had this problem can you please share your experience with me. I'd like to fix this problem for her if possible. They told me that my control arm and pinchaometer was bad, wouldnt let the top seal at the bottom by the back window. a grand later and a bunch of curseing, works fine. sorry to hear good luck. There are lots of tiny micro swtiches, any one of which being out of postion could do it, or one could be bad. Without being able to open it, you cannot even tell where they are. Perhaps try the reverse of the emergency close procedure in the owners manual - cylcing it may fix it or at least you can see what is broken.
