2000 S40 Check Engine Light

The ECM found a fault with the camshaft position on engine start up. Possibilities could be low or worn out engine oil, low oil pressure, clogged oil feed lines, a faulty camshaft reset valve or a faulty CVVT unit.

Your engine thermostat may be stuck open and the engine is not reaching operating temp quickly enough. There was also a software update that might help this concern if the T/stat and ECT sensor are ok.

Sounds good to me...I would change the oil if it hasn't been done in awhile and clear codes and see what returns ;) .....Unless you just recently had a timing belt done....then that's a whole diffrent story?
