i'd make sure it was stock before i tried. i don't know if you know defgh1 but he's got a stealth that could just about chew up every car here and you can't tell by looking at it.

Dude VR-4s have 320bhp stock, and even tho they're heavy, they're monsters off the line. If u're stock u're gonna get smoked...odds are the VR-4 has some light mods which would bump it to 335-350bhp.

Def has no mods whatsoever.... and i should be getting a 16T (in no way certian) ST chip, and MBC...how bout then? My bad, it is 320 hp. Oh and they are 3803 pounds...not that that means much to me.... how much is an 850 aproximately?

p.s. the awd would be why they are so fast from a stop

I'm gonna go ahead and say no chance. One turbo is bad enough, but two? And I don't think its much heavier than our cars if at all.

EDIT: Probly geared better too.

Well no s*** sherlock. ;) 16T, ST chip, MBC...lean it to 19psi and u should make close to 300bhp, I'm assuming u have intake and exhaust w/ that. Most of them are run down, they are w/o a doubt the hardest cars to keep the stage 0 working properly...they have like 30 vacuum lines and u hafta pull the entire engine out to get to them, the front transaxle gets in the way from the bottom. IF it's in great shape, in the 1/4 mile u're gonna get rocked by at least 2-3 cars I would think, and if he's a good driver. If it's run down like 99% of the others...u'll stand a chance. Taking one from a roll shouldn't be much of a problem at all. Off the line tho, they've got the pull of an STi if driven properly.

U're kidding right? They weigh over 4,000 pounds w/o a driver or fluids. And all the turbo'd VR-4s are twin...no singles. It's a single shaft w/ two compressor housings and two exhaust housings, so if one goes out, both are out.

sorry...multiple post edits. weight is 3800. what is the 850?

3,250 or so...MUCH lighter than the VR-4. It should be a pretty close race, but u're gonna play catchup the whole time. U know they wouldn't be so freakin' heavy if it wasn't for 4-wheel steering.

oh and i dont actualy have intake or exhaust. Im going to have the downpipe redone when/if i put the turbo in and then have the cat and muffler replaced. Along with a kn filter and new vacume line and turbo hoses, if they need it, i should be good for 280, 290 crank horses. With that, as soon as we get moving i should smoke him because of the massive weight difference.

I know they only make twin turbo (I meant I'd be hesitant to race any car with one turbo let alone two). My friend had an NA 3000GT that I'm not sure I would want to race now, maybe because it was lighter? My perception of the car is that it is very fast because thats all I've known/heard, don't really have any experience with the VR4.

ummm...a n/a would get stomped by your turbo. Seriously. Not really lighter and they dont really have close to the same power. Probably close to what your car makes... you could stomp from pretty much right after the launch.

P.S. Maybe your perception comes from its fast-car look? That and the twin-turbos can be made into very very fast cars....dont know how they get around the weight thing though...
