nagrod18 Posted May 30, 2004 Report Share Posted May 30, 2004 My friend is trying to replace the headunit in his 1991 940 turbo station wagon. We cannot find a wiring harness for the car, so we planned to hardwire the headunit. After we got a wiring diagram from a local audio store, we realized that most of the wire's colors on the diagram didn't match the wires on the car's harness. Try http://www.scosche.com/scosche/connectors/volvo.aspCircuit City may be able to special order for you...if not, just go with the phone number on their web site. Veneficus Posted June 6, 2004 Report Share Posted June 6, 2004 Alright, heres the deal... I did my homework. Circut City does not carry harnesses for any volvo models. However I believe they introduced the new harness into their lines in the year of 1993 with the release of the new 850. I would be led to believe that you have the volvo harness that they were using in '91. I would take out your radio and get a good look at the harness, and then try to find one for a '91 240 (there are some up on ebay). When they stopped paying commission on sales, anyone with any talent at all left in a flash. I wouldn't trust them (or Best Buy) for anything.
