C70 Loses Radio Function

1998 C70 Loses radio intermittently. While listening to the radio, the signal will just dissapear. When I hit 'scan' it scans the whole frequency, never picking up a station; in both fm and am. It never returns to normal until I start the car up the next morning. The cd works fine. I want to listen to my jazz station damnit!

are you using the Sc-900 model? I havent heard of this issue before.. usually the CD player jams before the Radio goes out.

Does your antennae mast still go up?

or is the antenna connected to the radio? (gotta cover the basics)

it's the sc-900, the antenna comes up, everything is normal for 20 min. or so. then I hear a pop, and the radio signal is gone. i hope it's just the antenna connection at the back of the unit.
