hoyt
Anyone ever tried to open up their sc811 to mess around with it? I was thinking it would be nice to have an aux input inplace of the tape deck. I never use the tape deck (don't believe it's ever seen a tape). My thought was that I could solder in something so that when I hit the tape button it goes to an 1/8" input cable that I can install and drop out of the ash tray. That's about as far as I've thought it out...--hoyt
drlava
I sell an aux in for $52, with other options like dual switchable inputs and serial laptop winamp control. also, blitzsafe sells one too. They use the cd-changer plug in the back and install without much effort or danger to your radio. email with questions.

Do you have any pictures?--hoyt
drlava
The Changer passthrough option is available for mine. It has the large DIN plug, different from the back of the radio. It should fit right off with aftermarket changers, OEM changers would need an adapter if they do not use the larger DIN plug. There is no physical switch. The input is toggled between the two by pressing pause, then disc 6.
