blown_volvo850r
sorry.. i thought if you were going to bring random irrelevant engines into the discussion that it was open game for me to do so as well Not irrelevant. I was just stating that on certain engines, a cam CAN add a lot of power. Not on the Fords tho. But it can be done.
ms007
It's easily done w/ an LS1. Stock is ~315bhp, 13% power loss to the rear wheels on a 6-speed is 274rwhp. It's not uncommon for a simple cam kit and a little tuning to net 400rwhp+. 160bhp extra would give u 475bhp, and that nets 409rwhp...and it's been done. Doubtful on the 302 tho, they don't compare to 350s.LS1 is gm
blown_volvo850r
LS1 is gmWow u're smart, u want a cookie?edit: U all just don't get it. Turbobrick made a comment about how a cam can't add 160bhp, and I was simply bringing another engine (which is far superior to the Ford 302 cubic inch V8) into the convo to make the point that a cam CAN add 160bhp or more, it just depends on the engine, cam, and tuning. This was in reply to the fact that maybe Turbobrick didn't think it could be done w/ any engine, as he didn't state that it wasn't possible JUST on the 302.
