NataSS Inc Posted March 13, 2006 Report Share Posted March 13, 2006 In the ever ongoing search to get one of these clusters into my 1997 850 I have another question. My 850 has all the beels and whistles that let me check my gas milage, dist to empty, temp, mph average etc. So I can turn the little knob and see the different displays. However, the first S70 cluster I got must not have ad this option. The only thing it had was the time in the display area. I noticed on the back of my 850 cluster, there was somthing that I can only describe as a "scuzzy" (computer nerds will know what I am talking about) line that went from the back of the guage area to what looked like the "display" area. But the s70 cluster did not have this. How can I tell if the S/v 70 cluster has this option in it? I am getting tired of dropping cash on something not knowing if it does have this option only to find out it does not.Any info on helping me figure this out would be greatly appreaciated.Oh, BTW I still have a 98 V70 cluster for sale.....CHEAP. connorb850 Posted March 13, 2006 Report Share Posted March 13, 2006 You did not see any wiring for the trip computer on the S70 cluster because ALL 70 series clusters have the trip computer built into the wiring plate. A dealer might be able to run the VIN and tell you if the car came with the trip computer activated. Other than that I'm not sure how you would tell.
