PullMyFinger
Konis do *not* affect ride height. They are not gas pressure charged shocks like Bilsteins. You can move them through the entire stroke by hand. Slowly of course. So...no preload at all.I really like my Konis. I'm happy with my Weitecs as far as ride comfort goes. I just want more flexibility in ride height adjustment. For track days etc. So I'm looking at coilovers for that purpose. But thats a lot of coin.I have currently for sale a full Koni shock setup along with Weitec springs. TME rears also are included.
mmetz
I didn't mean that 15's "hurt", just at times over certain bumps it's a tad harsh and I'm not complaining about that just thinking about the future once I get 18's and how it will get harsher, how much I don't know (bareable or not). But if I did find that my setup with 15's "hurt" and could not deal with it I WOULD change my suspension, resolving the problem. They are less harsh setups then HD's and EST springs...yay for weitecs... ride is not harsh at all
Kibim
Koni Yellows actually raise the car a half inch from where it sits on stock struts/shocks. They're nice tho, those and some H&R or B&G springs would be a good setup. My car dropped a little from stock struts to Koni Sport Yellows. Then I dropped it even more with the Intrax springs. It's (almost too) low. But the ride is fantastic. Comfortable, but controlled.
