The group is led by Fred Phelps.He and his family have picketed and heckled military families at more than 100 funerals since June. They say the soldiers are fighting for an army that represents a country that accepts homosexuality.wow. that's absolutly insane. it's one thing to protest in public on the streets or infront of a gov. establishment, but at someones funeral?! have they ever heard of respect for the dead??? a funeral is a place for mourning, not confrontation and heckling. Most military families are well aquainted with guns, a fact that the Phelps seem to ignore. Of course, they are preaching the word of god (their version) and believes god will protect them.
