W.A. Lancaster
I have a 99 C70 coupe with the 4X60 watt alpine looh alike amp in the trunk by the power ant. Currnetly using Alpine HU with adapter driving stock amp and stock dynaudio speakers. Would it be worth the trouble to use another adapter at the back of the car to go from DIN to 4 Male RCA and swap in the Alpine MRV450 which is 5 CH. crazykn
Well u can easily build your own adapter if you got some soldering skills... or I can build you one:I've built a one for a fellow VS member a while ago... but he never bought it. So yeah, PM me if you want a 4 Channel version.
W.A. Lancaster
Thanks Crazykn I might take you up on that. I wish someone had some input whether this has been done and if it was worth changing the amp out and sticking with the OE speakers.

What is your goal for the system? Clarity? Loudness?

VolvoFan
Lancaster-I've located and purchased a Dynaudio 12" sub for $250 off of eBay. I'm going to go with that one instead of the Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1 that I had purchased previously. I would not recommend swapping out your stock Dynaudio speakers... they are studio quality. I should be installing the MRV-F450 amp soon (within a month) if you want to continue to wait for feedback. I purchased my DIN-to-RCA adapter from Slater for $30; looks like it'll fit the bill nicely. We'll see who gets there first with this swap! Keep me posted and I will as well.-Jon
