letti001
I will apologize ahead of time but I keep hoping the answer will be different. Are there any options for an aftermarket headunit?...specifiaclly the new Pioneer AVIC Z1. For an '06 XC90 V8.Thank you very much.Sal
NGB
Sure, stuff that bad boy in there!Might have to slightly alter the cage to get it in securely, but there's no reason it shouldn't work.EDIT: Sorry, the image i had for the Z1 was of a single DIN unit. It appears it is actually double DIN. In that case i am not so certain it will fit, maybe Bing has seen the Z1 or knows the XC90 well enough to make a better decision about the fitment of that unit.Sorry for the confusion. Owned
You can do it. It won't be very simple, but it's certainly possible. You can either fill, cut, finish your existing radio pannel or build something that goes on the dash. Single DIN would be a lot easier.EDIT: Sorry, the image i had for the Z1 was of a single DIN unit. It appears it is actually double DIN. I may be shipping him some, though.
letti001
The Z1 is not out yet, but I really like the features as an aftermarket (NAV, mp3, bluetooth, etc.). Metra makes a kit for a single DIN but not double DIN.I am more worried about all the optical connections in the XC90 and the difficulty in connections.Sure, stuff that bad boy in there!Might have to slightly alter the cage to get it in securely, but there's no reason it shouldn't work.EDIT: Sorry, the image i had for the Z1 was of a single DIN unit.
