JCviggen
Yesterday on my way to the Nürburgring I tried to keep up with an S55 AMG.....and failed Still, he didnt get away by much even with my car not running 100%.Later had a similar race with a slightly modded (by the looks of it) E46 M3, which also beat me at high speed (120-->150 mph)S55 vid...Quicktime vid of me passing an E30 M3 last year at the Nordschleife over Quiddelbacher hohe. I remember I didnt lift at all and was slightly worried about the grip on the way down More cool vids later, they're still uploading but i'm tired and going to bed. Includes an 854 sideways at T13 B)

Nebor
I wouldn't think the S55 would have much on you, power to weight wise.

You make a good point, though I'm not sure if you mean to, in that the Mercs have excellent transmissions, which is probably what let him pull you like that, and still have a 180mph top speed. Nebor
391 lb-ft of torque did That amount of torque is quite attainable with a T5.
JCviggen
Weight doesnt matter so much anymore at very high speeds...more a matter of aerodynamics and raw power.
Vipaz
Weight doesnt matter so much anymore at very high speeds...more a matter of aerodynamics and raw power. What?? Are you implying our cars aren't aerodynamic? Where are you in Belgium? I have a friend here who lives in Belgium and his parents have an xc90 I believe (or he believes, he's not much of a car person). It must take you a while to get to Nordschleife from Belgium (I would assume, but I don't have an atlas so I may be wrong).Cheers,Al

Mind of its ownCareful upgrading the turbo, it brings it's own set of problems. I need an EBC like I need my next breath. I need that fancy one that can run different amounts of boost in different gears. Ran a 14.1 @ 107 yesterday. Matthew McConaughey launches better than my Volvo. <_<
