ABOSSV70R
I am in the search of a 00 V70 R and alredy have pleanty of gear for the ICE side on my future car.the only thing is that i am thinking of keeping the factory deck for a bit to speand $$ on other performance parts. Now my question is that i have a Sound Stream D'Artagnan 5.1 amp D'Artagnan 5.1 this is a awsome 5.1 amp that has 6 outputs. I want to use the factory deck and not have to use a hi to low pass converter. i have seen amp help with older radio but none on the 5.1 radio that comes in the V70 R.if not i will have to buy a new deck and speand cash that i would rather speand on the performance parts.oh tell me what you think of the amp. ABOSSV70R
Yeah i have read the tread but the stock unit in a V70 R would have 3 pairs of out puts. 1 pair L/R Front 1 pair L/R Rear and 1 pair Center/Sub out put and would like to know if this is possible on the back of the factory unit or am i going to need 3 hi/low adapters.thanks for the help.by the way if anyone has a image of the back of the radio of a V70 with suround out put it would be great.thanks again

ABOSSV70R
Thanks for the sugestion, but i have looked and googled and searched other forums but no help. I know the SC-901 does not have a sub out, but i thought of converting the center control to control the sub volume. and creating a mono signal for the center controlled by the front channel. The biggist thing i need to see the rear of the radio SC901 and a wire output diagram if possible if not i will spend time with a multi-meter when i buy my V70 R. Jacob
I am pretty sure that the V70R uses the HU series radios and no the SC series radios. I could be wrong. Try a seach for HU613

Kibim
No, it's a 2000 V70R, so will be SC series. There are pics of the SC-901 pin outs. There is however, no centre/sub out, only 4 ch on the din plug. I have the pin-outs at home i'm sure. I've made up adapter cables too, that run low level inputs into an ICE amp. My suggestion would be to use a 4ch amp to run the door and rear deck speakers, take a loop out of that into a sub amp, and run the centre speaker off the HU. The centre speaker gets power and signal off the HU, and is itself an amplified speaker. It plugs into the *surround* multi-pin din connector on the back, for which i do not have, nor can find pinouts. Many people will tell you just to get a new HU, as the stock system isn't very flexible, but with enough work, it can be made to do what you want it to do.
