Reglue the windshield...

Last Sunday driving back from the Ring I noticed the windshield was separated 3/4 around from the body.

There had been wind noise for some time but I though it was a lose roof strip or so.

Last week I noticed a leak and the last days I also heard loud cracking noises from time to time.

Yesterday the car went in to install a new windshield. Got a phonecall a few hours later if I wanted to have the original windshield installed because they were able to pick it out of the car just like that.

It turned out an earlier windshield replacement wasn't performedcorrectly and the glue was probably missing the activator..

Picked the car up this morning and drove it most of the day and boy does it make a difference! The whole car feels solid! steering has improved, road feel and cornering..!

I was expecting a funny story about how you accidentally drove through a large puddle of glue. And then consequently held the road quite well :) While parked of course

HAHAHAHA

either that or you bragging about a new set of kw v3's... or if they came out with v4's....

anyways.... lets all glue our tires!

:) Nice... another thing I noticed is on the side of the windshield where the roof trim, the S70s don't have a layer like the 850s do... the 850s have another piece of rubber between the windshield and the roof trim, while the s70s don't. I seriously miss the lack of wind noise my 850 had, this S70 sounds like a darn hurricane at anything past 125 MPH.

hahaha LOL, I love how you're concerned about wind noise above 125mph!

:lol: You still hear pretty annoying wind noise even at 100... just past 125 it practically sounds like a window is open. :(

Heck, even Rene when he was in my car, we were doing about 60, and he started pushing his window button and feeling around the a-pillar to see where the air was coming in through. ;) It's been the same in other 70 series I've taken rides in, my friend's C70 is even worse. :(
