SkyWriter Posted April 4, 2006 Author Report Share Posted April 4, 2006 What happened to your turbos?one of them blew a ton of oil the next day, the other was starting to leak. i cored them in for brand new stock kit; way too much risk in a 'do over'. the Ferrita exhaust, and manifold work really pepped it up, with all the suspension work for now. long story short, i'm going to split a parts car with my mechanic, and build the engine on a stand. give me a chance to bone up on my welding skills on some headers, and work on fitting a larger set of turbos; there's room but just barely. maybe a stroker kit, port and polish everything. have the tranny hardend. everything you like to do if you had access to the whole engine, and time to do it. in the near term i'll work on a progressive nitrous setup and cosmetic stuff, the intercooler project, and oil cooler project. man that does sound like a lot of work but it'll be fun, that's what it's there for.
