Wheel Studs

So I can't even remove my wheels cause the threads of the studs are all rusted up. I even went and bought a "compact wrench" and still could not remove them. I checked out vlvworld and they got them for like $2US each versus $10Cnd each for non chrome ones and $17Cnd for chrome ones at the dealer, I don't want to spend $200 - $400 on friggin bolts. Since the description for the vlvworld ones say NEW instead of OEM or OEM NEW do you think their would be alright, anyone with experience with these studs, I don't want them to break on me.

The reason for replacing them is so that I can get at my rotors to remove all the rust and paint them so they look nice nice with the volutions.

Thanks

I did search by the way, just comfused me even more with tuner lugs, wheel lugs/bolts/studs...

I was fine with the volvo ones so anything like those will do fine... so any problem with purchasing these bolts from Volvo World?????? Or does anyone have other suggestions.

I understand that this post is somewhat boring but GIVE ME A REPLY NOW!!!!!!!! :D

You still need to get the ones on your wheels off right? I would try a breaker bar with 19mm socket (think that's the size). Whoever tightened them on there did them way too tight...I think they are rated at 81Lb Ft. Anyway, my wife's '04 V70's lug nuts started rusting. Under warranty we complained, and the dealer gave us plastic caps that look like lug nuts that slip over the rusted ones. It's the craziest thing I've ever seen, but they do make the lug nuts look like new and plastic chromed caps don't rust.

Thanks for your response.

Yes 19 is the size, I'm just going to go to the alignment shop where they last removed my wheels, let them have the fun since he might of been the one that over tightened my wheels. Last year when I was able to remove my wheels I noticed rust on the threads of the bolts I did put some grease but I know that it must be worst now...

So I guess I will just buy them from volvo world. Any recommendations for a wheel lock set?
