gdizzle
What if their haven't been any posts in it, yet? I'm sure you guys can arrange that, or at least see a red flag if a member deletes a thread with ANY replies... Locking might help too, can you eliminate those from coming up in search? I like that we're thinking constructively here!WTF, Carson does the same thing I did, but it's ok for him? I explain why it's not going to happen and you complain.
prasamin
3) Less 'members only' crap. I understand the give aways, but I'm a closet political scientist and because I haven't paypaled Chuck any money, i can't have a political opinion - same goes for R forum, blatent 'Supporting Members' forum. Like, all you should be talking about is forum gossip in there cause if real info is being shared then the whole community is weakened if the good info is horded.then a closet political scientist would know that you have to pay taxes to be able to vote. member's only is a good thing. no one here likes illegal immigrants. the underlørd
Okkkay... back on topic. Soome great suggestons in here.my thought on the 10 min post count.. never gonna fly for the reasons already discussed. However, maybe something like they do on evolutionm, where there's like a "waiting period" of 2-3 days before you can post.. give people time to read, and maybe quell some of the n00b Q's... We started this thread because "this site is going to hell in a handbasket" and people are leaving. But now we want to encourage 80% less posts? Now go with me here. Why would I want 80% less topics and page views keeping in mind I pay the 500 dollar a month server bill with page views?
rodrigo
i see your point, Chuck, but I thought one of the things that most people see as annoying is the questions like "who makes lowering springs for Volvo" posts/ if they use the search, they will get 1,000,000,000,000 posts to answer the question......think im missing something here... <_<
