ThaBigO
Ok i was driving on the highway yesturday and i was about to hit it. while i floored it i heard a POP noise. My car wouldnt accerlate any more. I thought either one of my hoses poped out or it ripped. So i pulled over and i looked around and saw that the Metal Pipe that goes from the Radiator to the Turbo poped out. The Part where the metal goes into the Turbo was out. I was wondering what part that Hose is where the Metal piece goes into becuase mine is in pretty bad condition.THis is what im talking about.Im hoping but replacing that hose with a new one. it should fix the problem. I was hoping i could get a nice Silcone one.thanks,Orlando

ThaBigO
where is best place to get them!?!
PullMyFinger
The oem coupler on the turbo compressor outlet is a 2" to 2.5" reducer and it is silicone. The turbo is 2" and the pipe is 2.5". Thats the only part of the oem system that *is* silicone. So, you can get another oem one or just find one online someplace. Should be under $10. Clean that entire are up first though. And yes, T-Bolt clamps are the way to go.

MadeInJapan
That's funny, changed the same hose out last year....OEM part (ordered from Groton) and it was rubber just like all of my other hoses. Also changed the 90degree elbow at the bottom of the intercooler which was also rubber. I'd like silicone hoses too but really can't justify paying for the Samco's just yet. ThaBigO
of those websites that i posted. I believe they are 96 and up. Does that matter or not?? Or is VpTuning the only place that sells the hoses for 1995??
PullMyFinger
My original turbo connector was silicone, I replaced it with parts from FCP and it was also silicone. While all the other hoses are rubber. There is no reason to pay $31.00 for a $12.00 part. That is simply a 2" to 2.5" silicone reducer. Take yours off, measure it. Then just find one online someplace, color doesn't matter and clamp it on. Done.I don't know much about those Samco kits. I have a completely custom reverse pipe setup. I think it cost less than $200 total but I had to piece it together. Thats half the fun though :)
ThaBigO
well samco has really good reviews. and every1 recommends them. So i want to get those. But i cant find a place that has them in stock. So far this is the only place. Click here But im not sure if it will work for my car. It says it the 96 year and up. So if any one knows on where i can get samcos for my car in stock i would greatly appricate it .thanks,Orlando
PullMyFinger
I can't think of any differences between the '94/'95 models and the '96 and newer. Not as far as the charge pipes go anyway. There are differences in other areas.I think maybe they just didn't call out the years correctly on the web site. Not sure though, sorry.
