Hey Rob, good to have another FL member on the forum! I'm in Cape Coral ... not too far down the road from you. Hey, do you know of a REAL dyno shop up in your area? All we have down here is one shop and they're completely lame. I need to get a remap on my Rica ecu.

You I have no comment for!!!!!! You must be the board clown. All the talk and no walk.

Make shure you bring your stock T5 for an all out A$$ WOOPIN.

Oh no you will talk crap about other peoples cars while you are driving your moms T5 <--- Is this why it is still stock. Can't do nothing to moms car.

All talk no walk? I'm betting $100 against you. As soon as we have someone step forward to act as an intermediary I'll paypal them the money.

You expect me to bring my S70 from Texas to Florida? I don't even take my S70 from Texas to... Texas. It's a weekend project car. And in case you haven't caught on (you are a little dense) "stock" is a joke around here so we don't have to explain all of our mods to everyone who comes along.

So are you going to take the bet?

Effective thursday afternoon, there will be a 1998 V70 GLT wagon owner in Ft Myers.:) I am a mustang guy at heart, so you can bet I will be modding this baby too.

Gary

Hey Gary, did you end up getting the GLT? Why don't you register up and stick around ... I think I'm the only guy on the forum right now from the Ft. Myers/Cape Coral/Naples area :(

One of my friends owns an independent shop in Naples called Autoclinic Of Naples. Very good guy I think there is a Dyno in the same area around Naples. I dont think they deal with remaps. Last time I talked to Bill at Auto Clinic he was getting his SCCA Club Race Car Dynoed. I think the guy charges $75 to $80 HR.

Thanks Robert, I'll give Bill a call Monday. I never really thought there would be a dyno in Naples ... nothing but a lot of blue hairs and blue bloods driving around in their Rolls Royces  I don't need the shop to do any remapping, I just need a plot that I can send to the Netherlands.

Firstly I already said I would race him.

Secondly stock is a really funny joke.

Thirdly you dont drive your car from Texas to Texas??????? WTF??? You are the Village Idiot

You know what I dont need to deal with people like you.

Actually I have nothing to prove to you.

Actually I dont feel like dealing with any of the imature people on here. If he wants to setup the race have him e-mail me. I will not race him on the street due to traction issues and some other minor implications.

After the race I am done talking to ignorant people. If someone wants to talk to me about my car or any volvo stuff just e-mail me.

I did not come on here to fight about what my car can do and cant do. By the way Nebor High 13's is not that fast. It is not a race car. It will be a race car after suspension work an other stuff. Anny A$$hole can go in a straight line. What is a real challenge, is racing on a road coarse and actually finishing the race.

Came here to give some advice, learn something form you guys, and maybe help some florida people out since I work at a dealer.

Actually Neborare if you want I will have my friend bring a Viper down to the track to give you a ride in a quick stock car if we race in Bradenton. Oh but you never get out of Texas.

I'm done with this BS.

You people (actually Neborare) giving me high blood pressure.

LOL I'm out

Rob

0-120 ? MPH When and where? At what track?

There is a track by me in Bradenton Bradenton Motorsorts <--- I think it's called.

Let me know. I will not race you on a street can not hook for crap on a street.

Rob

Bradenton Motorsports is 246 miles from me. That's a 4 hr. drive. Not happening.

http://www.mapquest.com/directions/main.ad...8600&panelbtn=2

I do like Bradenton, though, as it is a very well-prepped track, however I can't justify the 250 mile drive.

Since you can't hook on the street  , I am willing to meet you in Orlando at Orlando Speedworld.

2 Hrs. and 50 Mins. - 183 Miles for me

http://www.mapquest.com/directions/main.ad...o&2s=fl&2z=&r=f

and

2 Hrs. and 30 Mins. - 150 Miles for you

Here is a link to the track's website. http://www.speedworlddragway.com/

Would that work? The reason I say I would rather run to 120 is because we both trap around 100 at the track, I cut 2.4-2.5 60's as I don't even launch the car, just easily let the clutch out and then get on it... don't feel like replacing it anytime soon. However, if you are not willing to run on a roll, say from 20 - 120 or 55 - 120 (using the automatic's sweet spots here), then we can run on the track and I will just have to beat up my clutch for a couple of runs. Let me know what you're interested in doing. :)

btw charles, sorry for bringing up street racing... forgot the site doesn't endorse it. ;)

Rob, if you would rather race through an auto-x I would be more than happy to do that, as my car actually has a tiny bit of suspension work done.

Why would he race you 50-120 when his advantage is torque?

Setting up street races on the forum in a public thread not even a members only one? I will deal with that in the admin forum.

He would own you in autoX assuming he can drive.

I never said I wanted to race him on the street, merely said 50-120. You can interpret that however you please. Regardless, Rob... let me know if you're interested in the offer and willing to head over to Orlando.

As I stated in another thread to answer the question of what track to run 50 - 120 on...

I have acquaintances in the area that own land long enough to do that on.

One such is a project still in development, we can refer to it as a closed course.

Regardless... if Rob wants to race, I'm more than welcome to the idea. Hell, I'd love to see that car put down 13's in the current conditions just as much as anyone else here! I would just like to have my car on the same course as his while he does it.

I will pass on the race this week. If you want I will race you next week Saturday. In Orlando at the race track <--- want to be clear about that. I am not putting up any money because I think it will be a close race. You running 14.4, 14.5 without a Launch on a manual car. I run 14.4, 14.5 in an auto. I guess I have a less of a chance of a mess-up but you have more control over your power band. On top of that I think you have more stuff done to the car than you are telling me. I think paying for gas at $ 3+ a gallon for the both of us will be enough of an expense. I think if you want to race me, race me just to prove a point. I am not willing to put up any more money due to the cost of gas + price of track access.

Thanks Rob for being mature, that is more than fair enough.

1) I do not have more than I say done to my car than I am telling you. You can ask TorqueSteer, Boost3237, Crrrrazy, C70SPEED. This car ran a 14.4 @ 99.9 MPH, I've posted that up tons of times. That time was run without the Magnecore wires.

I will confirm that I do not have work next week Saturday, if that is the case, I can't wait to meet you in person. :) Should be fun.

Another minor (Major) issue is Florida temps, which are in the 80’s range you will most likely not see me run 13’s until it cools off or we run on a colder night at the track.

The slip is from Chicago, 50 to 60 degree temps.

Not counting on running persistent low 13’s at the track in 80 deg temperature.

But as I said both of the cars will suffer since they are both turbocharged.

I will give you a run if you so wish.

14.4 @ 99.9 MPH Faster Car With A Good Launch

You will beat me if you trap speed is at 99.9 especially with a good launch. I will still be there to put up a fight. Anyway the look of two Volvo’s at the track will be priceless anyway.
