CRK
I maybe the first to get the inmotion chip, I have it in my 96 855-t auto-trans. I can't give any real good #'s yet.I have a boost gauge that will be in the car soon, also I have a small vacuum leak that needs to be sorted out first with help from the new gauge and you guys.I have not run the car hard yet because of the above leak but from the few times I have pushed the go pedal a little I can definitely feel a difference, how much? I am not sure yet.The main reason of the post is to let others know that a member of volvospeed does havea inmotion chip and is in the process of evaluating it. Also from emailling Inmotion I found out that they have a forum at:http://inmotionusa.com/phpBB2/index.phpThey also have a updated (some what) web site @ http://www.inmotionusa.com/More info on the new chip to come... prasamin
thanks for posting. exactly what we need man, more options! i was discussing doing custom maps with inmotion, but downtime and sending my ECU back and forth wasn't worth my time, plus, the guy wouldn't get me a number to contact him at, and we kept going back and forth a million times on email, with days between responses, and I got tired of it, so I got something more convenient, where I could get personal support.Keep us updated, but don't post any results till you get the vac leak fixed, and the boost gauge in. PorBleemo
I'm interested too! How much did it cost?
CRK
Yes I will be posting here in this thread about the chip. As far as cost goes I am not sure if they want me to disclose that. I will say that I went to one of their auctions on ebay. It was a buy-it-now style with a summit-best-offer exactly like this ONE RIGHT HERE. I made an offer that was less then the opening bid on this OTHER ONE RIGHT HERE.They emailed me thru the email account I have on ebay and accepted it. This did not happen thru the ebay auction process of "best-offer". Ebay was just a catylist to the purchase. I paid for the chip thru paypal on March 24th and emailed a fellow named Gunter that I would not be shipping my ECU out until after the 1st of April. He said no problem but to include a copy of my pay-pal payment and make/model/year ect.I shipped it out using USPS priority mail (2-3day) on April 7th, they got it April 10th and I got it back on April 12. Shipping was included with the total price I paid.

piran21
Did Gunter tell you if there are more than one version? like stage 1 and 2? Do you have a boost gauge yet? IS IT MUCH FASTER NOW?
CRK
Gunter did not say anything about different stages but I am almost sure that will do a remap.Boost gauage is in my hand and I am going to install this weekend.I did find my small leak today but it's not that small and I dont have the part to fix it plus volvo parts were closed today I did have about a 5 min fix today for the leak and the stock needle went full scale white ONCE.....ONLY ONCE then my crapy fix for the leak sprung, what else..........A leak I should be ready for better testing / results after tuesday when the hose from the intercooler to the TB gets replaced with a new one. By then the boost guage should be in place too .

poot850t
I was checking this out and wasn't sure on them. Since the units of power are in metric you can use this site to convert them to HP. Only thing is that they don't have the 2.3 listed and just a 2.0 or 2.5? I just listed up for a chipped turbo ecu for my 850. Hmmm I think I may have to give them a try.http://www.mr2ownersclub.com/converter.htm
prasamin
as stated, InMotion will do custom mapping if you can get them AFR's or dyno sheets. You just have to send the ECU back and forth. Also, they can put a socketed chip in there, that is removable when you want to go back to stock. This will cost you ~$350, and you can just send the chip back and forth for custom maps.he said you can butt dyno with a WBO2, but I think you'd be better off with dyno readings. poot850t
Just curious. If anyone knows what eeprom chips do volvo ecu's use or do the various tuning companies use when they burn chips for people?
