kir
I've originals from hard plastic on my S70, but whenever they touch something on the road there's a risk to damage wings and/or sideskirts. Is there any softer aftermarket option exist? Universal kits isn't option, 'cause they look ugly.
MadeInJapan
I agree that they are ugly and not really a good fit either. My passenger side one almost got ripped off and I had to screw it back into the fender with a short screw (not gromet), so I'm curious as well. Almost tempted to run without them at all, but I know that means lower panels of the car will get damaged from rocks, debris, etc. Hoping others will chime in. Jaxx
considered taking them off?
SH8KDWN
One fell off about 2 months ago so I took the remaining one off. No damage to the paint from chips yet but it does get a little dirty. I like the look.

Jaxx
I think he means like speed bumps or something that stick out, or something like a steep rise to get over the side walk, to an entrance of a parking deck or w/e...

rodrigo
the flaps on my XC are pretty flexible...you can move em a bit with your hand.
Jaxx
they're not really flexable when you have a car's weight on them.. :-\my 850 has lots of rub marks on the bottom of the flaps, looks like they were grinded up against the road... I'm sure they were :)

I'm sure they were my 850's flaps were hard plastic IIRC, whereas the flaps on the XC are 'maleable' <---thats the word
