USMC850T Posted April 19, 2006 Report Share Posted April 19, 2006 Ok ok I hate to say it but I just bought a sony deck for my car.GT 200 model, I needed something with aux in for my mp3 player, as my roomate ruined my stock deck's tape player by ramming a tape in the wrong way.I love Sony TV's, but hate their audio: it sucks balls real hard. It only cost me $4 though, and I can't justify spending alot of money on car audio as it will never come close to what my setup in my room sounds like.I'll post some pics while i solder it in and once it's installed though. TorqueSteer Posted April 19, 2006 Report Share Posted April 19, 2006 OMG sony is the worst ever, Ive had a Head Unit for about a year now, at 4 months of age, it started being very picky about playing any burnt cd's, if im lucky i can switch tracks without it jamming up and eating the disc, or else ive had to pull it out with surgical tools. If thats not bad enough, the connection for the detachable head is damaged and the display will randomly go out, leaving me unable to control anything without pressing it back in very hard, it usually results in me punching it. Don't know why but just always like the durability and sound quality. Plus they have cool useless features like moving pictures on the tiny ass screen. I had a Kenwood deck for a while, and it was very good quality. XDC-759 I think... I sold it to Scott/Ultra Runner we will see if he likes it. Then you can just sell the Sony on Ebay for $10. I've had a Sony LCD TV for a few years now. It's definitely a nice TV, but unfortunetly it's one of the few things they still do well. Maybe it just sounds better because I'm using a JVC head unit... I don't know. I don't bust on sony though... I've never had anything sony that I have been really unhappy with.
