mikie
Anybody had koni sports + X springs or weitec cup kit who upgraded to coilovers (KW or another) or vise versa? I would like to know your impressions comfort wise? Worst/Better, more or less suspension crashing...obviously I understand those who bought KW probably have dropped their car down to the ground and that plays a big part... Adam Franke
KWs will give the worst ride. It's just the nature of the beast. Those of us who have them, I think, have come to terms with it. I don't mind it that much anymore, it only annoys me when there's like 4 other people in the car and the bumps get more and more noticeable. Even on the softest setting, the ride is stiff. I actually have mine set to almost the hardest setting mainly because if I put it on soft, my wheels rub all over the top of the fender.
Johann
KW's give the best ride but most people set the suspension way to hard. opening up the rebound will transform the car.Best spring kit is Apex IMO. Koni's are nice but also in this case don't set the rear to hard.

See I really don't mind my setup on smooth roads, even when the road has smooth bumps, at times with HD's and EST springs I jump from my seat/scares me at times cause it comes to a suprise... But that doesn't bother me what's bad is the cracks in the road, divisions...stuff like that, feels fine with loud musice but with the radio off I hear the suspension crashing or whatever it is, subrame hitting hard. It could be my engine/tranny, mounts are probably finished, smashing on the frame. It's the noise that bothers me...Difference in opinions... Would the ride be softer? And what about this kit the Doug is bringing out, RKautotechnik would it be cheaper then KW's?Thanks for all your responses so far... JCviggen
Havent had them any softer than 70% yet but Konis are nice so far..with stock T-5R springs. Not really less comfy than stock.
