General Disarray
Just wondering if anybody here has 12" immortal series subs from Audiobahn, and how well they sound and how hard they hit. Is it a good buy or could I find better for the price?

CAKES855
I had two immortal 12's in a custom slot ported box with a memphis 1500 watt amp, it hit 151.4 twice, it popped my windshield gasket more than once, they are really loud as long as you have the right box, they arnt very clear at all. Guest Guest
so what is the best decent priced dual 12" sub option that has good sound and alot of ground shaking bass? Or would adding different speakers in the car make up for the lousiness of the sound of the immortals?
Owned
Have you looked at the W7? A lot of what you pay for in that sub is the name, but it really is a nice piece.

A lot of what you pay for in that sub is the name, but it really is a nice piece.decent price and w7 shouldnt be in the same sentence, ya they are a nice sub but they are really expensive, i have had my memphis m3s for over a year now and i beat the piss out of them every day with 500 watts of constant power running to each sub, i cant say that for anything else i have ever used, what is decent priced to you, memphis makes a good product and so does alpine, both are resonably priced until you go into the higher end models, i know that i can get a single m3 12 in a memphis slot poreted box for around 300 and around 600 for 2, mine are tuned for clarity and loudness, i hit 148.8 in my 854 and 144.3 in my blazer when i had it. personally i would go with an alpine e type or r type or if you want to spend a little more money a couple of m3's would be nice with a pr 1000.1 with a cap or two would set u back roughly a grand installed if you did the work
Owned
There's a lot of good, cheap subs out there. One of my favorites being PA Big Bangs, overdriven to 800-1000 RMS. I've done a lot with them. From eight 15s in a Dodge 1500, to eight 12s in an Eclipse, to eight 10s in an Explorer (notice a pattern? ). A pair in even a badly tuned box will hit 140's all day long for short money (~$500). I was just curious if he had given the JLs any thought and if he had, what his conclusion was.
