Volvo Virgin
We're seeing gas go up by 5 cents a gallon per day here in the Delaware Valley.I guess it's all relative as from what I see we usually have pretty cheap gas here in South Jersey, and they pump it for us,but I just paid 301.9 a gallon for 91 octane. There are even some stations closed for lack of supply I also saw on the news today the sweet crude set a record high today at $75.00 a barrel. All this and the oil companies showing monstrous record profits for consecutive quarters.WTF!!!! This is killing the average Joe not only in gas prices, but his dollar doesn't go as far in the over-stimulated economy because everything from groceries to air fares are being affected by higher pricing directly related to higher fuel costs.Vicious circle!!!Where does it end? Volvo Virgin
summer gas refinery switchover.3.19 = 92.Yeah supposedly here in Jersey they are doing a big switch over to Ethynol(corn oil) in addition to the summer mix.So that is attributing to the lack of supply and higher prices. But Gov.Corzine is getting ready to implement a $.30 a gallon fuel tax as well.exactly.so buy one less latte per week. i don't get too caught up on gas prices......it just shocked me when I saw the almost $55.00 bill for tanking up.The prices are taking their toll on the working man. Volvo Virgin
The way he put it, it seemed like he was paying three hundred and one dollars and 9/10's of a cent. That is how I took it.You can't help yourself can you?
SH8KDWN
$3.35 here tonight and up it goes. So much fun when I drive between 750 and 1,000 miles/week. As an aside, is this the first year that they have switched from winter to summer blends? You would think an industry as large and powerful as the oil industry would have figured out how to switch over without supply issues. I'm sure they are doing everything possible to make sure prices don't surge .
96PlatinumEdition850
I saw $3.19 for 93Octane and it's about $2.99 for 87Octane. I'm getting 21.4 MPG says the trip computer and it's about dead on so at least I'm getting better gas mileage. Over the past week it's gone up .3 MPG. Also when you think about it 10 cents more per gallon is only $1.80 so don't go buy a candy bar next time your at the grocery store and you just made up for the extra money you spent on gas. I mean if it shoots up to $4.00 per gallon it'll be a big deal but your really not paying much more.
