i have a slight problem in my 93 volvo 850 glt. the problem is that in my right driverside door i have a pioneer speaker in it and i just wired up my sub and the suband everyother speaker are playing perfectly but the problem with this one speaker is that all i can hear is the engine in it and its kinda annoying so i took it out tonight to see what i should do to fix the problem.. im open to any suggestions that may fix the problem.

If you can hear ignition whine coming thru the speaker then the speaker and the electrical connection to the speaker is intact, it is getting a feed from the amp. You just don't like the feed. If you have an outboard amp, check the input connection, which is maybe open, hence the audible interference from the engine. Try flopping the amp inputs and see if the problem moves to the other side. If it does, problem is likely in your head unit. If not, either the cable from the HU is bad or it's the HU.
