My Next Car...

Recommended Posts

Well, I spontaneously took the wagon up to my buddies cottage, and the road into the cottage is one of the top 5 favourite things about driving, but it just hasn't been fun since I've had Volvos.

The car(s) is just too big for the road, i'm fully comitted to every line and i lost the back end on this last trip. No question about it, cruising, nothing beats my car in the circle of friends (only notable is a Cobalt SS Super) but that leaves me booking and at an INCREDIBLE risk of getting a speeding ticket.

So my solution to $70/bbl oil, fear of more speeding tickets, is to get a car that would be most fun on windy roads, and today i test drove a Cooper S and it was a fricking BLAST, just stock. I'm going to drive a new GTI in the next few weeks, and depending on how my insurance drops when I turn 25 I might get rid of the wagon. At the same time, this is probably just wishful thinking, hopefully financial prudence will prevail and I'll keep the wagon.

At the same time, a significant justification for my new shitty job is that it lets me have fun, and that thing was F-U-N!

We'll have to see!?...

we have one of those to toy around in and it is a fun car. doesn't beat the M3 but the price is considerably less. not a great highway car either but fun on the back roads. you should also look into the Audi A3. very fun car.

i drove one, it seemed lacking.. like the gearing was too long and the boost didnt come on strong enough.

i absolutely beat on it though through some roads in the back country. even attempted to launch the little devil, it was fun i admit but when practicality took over i honestly could never see owning one.

takes a unique person to drive a mini cooper day to day.

Personally...could never do it. I've driven one and yea they are a ton of fun...but just too small. If you are going to get one get the Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works GP. Totally freaking awesom...mebe I'd drive that day to day

for the price of the jcw package (5000) you would be better off buying a cooper s and modding it yourself
