Figawi
ya we have a cooper s, i love it... flys on the highway... what dont u like about it?usually when i drive on the highway its for 3 hours + each way and i load the car full of gear. the mini is just too small and not as comfortable as the R (at least for me) on long distance trips. Asinine
I punched some numbers and with 3 speeding tickets in the 850 over last summer, turning 25 still won't help me on the insurance front - So, i'm in the wagon for at least another year and a half, which is probably a good thing. And on that note, i'm off to wash the wagon, and renew my love for it! Fake Name
I've driven a JCW on two road trips- OH to SoCal and SoCal to Seattle- GREAT fun. Yes, if you drive over a Ritz cracker in the road, you'll feel the bump, and the freeway is not so fun. But we drove all two-lane highways from OH to SoCal, and the tight twisties were a blast. In Kansas, the car maxed at 130, and was remarkably stable.Ergonomically, it's one of the most comfortable cars I've been in, and I'm 6'2" and over 200lbs.It won't replace the wagon, but the way the SC SCREAMS made me laugh each time. fn
aldebaran
Don't do anything yet, wait till the C30 comes out and test drive that. That way you can still have fun and drive a Volvo! http://www.volvocars.us/footer/about/NewsA.../c30concept.htmMy little S40 puts the 'fun' into my driving experience again. Asinine
I really don't ever want to drive a Ford Volvo, and I don't like the C30, so I'll definitly pass. My priorities will likely change (i.e. hopefully have a girl who won't let me make such stupid decisions) by the time my driving record cleans up, but if it weren't for that I'd order an S-JCW next february, or a GTI, haven't tested that yet. Volvoson
All I gotta say is that Mini's are fuckin hot! I would get one in a heartbeat if I had some money to play with Plus, the sound of those things with the supercharger whine is awesome!Picture taken from www.mkippen.comThat is my friend's old Cooper S before he sold it. Nebor
Let me just say that a supercharged 4 cylinder is a stupid idea. I don't care if it's BMW doing it in the Mini, Mercedes doing it in the C class, or Chevy doing it in the Cobalt\Ion. It's not a good idea. It never has been and it never will be.
