crazykn Posted May 2, 2006 Report Share Posted May 2, 2006 Two week ago I built this:Today the unit is in my car fully working. Now I can finally use my Alpine CD Changer and IPod together. Both hardwired to the stock HU. Technically its not a IPod Aux in, but rather a RCA aux in. I also use a Sirius radio, so a RCA input was necessary. I remember 9 months ago when I bought my Blitzsafe Aux in, i didn't have a CD Changer, so I wasn't losing anything. Then my brother-in-law gives me his Alpine CD Changer, and had to figure out how to intergrate it. Apparently my only solution was to use a Alpine Controller/FM Transmitter to drive the CD Changer. The sound from that thing was just subpar. I needed to hardwire everything together, so finally that dream has come true. Everything now works in Harmony... although I did have to hack up my Blitzsafe AUX in to do so:But it was worth it. (The blitzsafe circuit board is now in the box with the switcher) The switch box is simply a electronic relay with a lead so that I can switch it from my driver seat, while the box hides away in my trunk (with my CD Changer).
