Che'_Moderator
Well I finishd all the Volvo stereo stuff I can do at this time so I decided to do a write up on fiberglass boxes. I will work on it and have it posted in a week or two. This box fits in the goofy side panel of an Explorer. I thought I could finish it in one day but I guessed wrong. So the rest of the pics will be up tomorrow.

Owned
Nice flush mount piece. What did you lay the glass mat on? It looks like cotton. What are you going to finish it with?BTW, sweet footwear. :P

I rip the fabric out when I take out the ring supports. This time one of the dowels got let in though....

Chris_R
You puttin all 200 on that? If so, I think your methods are sound. :pizza:
Che'_Moderator
You puttin all 200 on that? If so, I think your methods are sound. Thats 2 layers of matt and a few little strips in the corners and attachment points. And yes thats me setting the 3 second timmer and jumping on top of it. If I had to guess it would hold 300 like that and close to 400 if I turned it upside down. As for fleace I use graphite on a lot of dash projects. The resin for that runs upwards of 100 a gallon which rules fleace out. Cotton for me is also faster. I such at covering stuff so being able to be sloppy and have it dry tight is a plus. And it is squarish. I cannot not help that ford took their styling tips from Scion. You drive a what and are telling me its squarish :P

ViperVette
looks nice man... I need to learn how to do them fiberglass boxer thangers! Passed the weight test, looks like your GTG! however! those are Timberlands??? I could've sworn they were Sperry Topsiders... man. I had that same style from Sperry, but they were killed, so I went with a mockansen style Sperry instead with the current ones!
