I was doing about 70 in the middle lane and I look in my driver side mirror to switch lanes and all I see is fast approaching headlights so I wait and it flies by. I switch lanes and watch him. He cuts accross all three lanes to the open right lane and a car moves out of the middle lane right in front of him. Surely I thought he was going to crash into the back of this car but he slams on the brakes and flashes his high-beams. I proceed to follow him and after he crosses the three lanes of traffic the road is totally open. I catch up to him staying in the far left and he's in the right. I slow down as we proceed over this hill because theres a spot where cops sit right over the peak of the hill. He pulls up next to me as we come over the hill at about 70-75 and he has his window down and his dome light on and he's signaling to go. Well I wish the race was nearly as good as this story leading up to the race but unfortunately I guess it must have been a automatic or something because I put a bus length on him and I took it up to about 115 and then let off. He finally flew by me and kept going right into traffic and was switching lanes like a mad man. I proceeded home. Maybe the accord has nothing in higher gears I don't know but it just seemed to easy. I know it was a teenager probably the same age as me or a year older but oh well I was asking for a race tonight but when someone is weaving through traffic I jsut have the need to see what all the rush is about. 96PlatinumEdition850 Posted May 6, 2006 Author Report Share Posted May 6, 2006 I'm feeling it HAD to be the inline 4 I mean anyone can fly through traffic once they are up to speed and I didn't even hear his engine or exhaust for that matter when the initial "race" started or when he pulled up next to me. I don't think my stock 854 would have beat the V6 unless it has nothing up top but I don't know. Oh well it was a ego booster to say the least. Theyre pretty quick off the line with the vtec and N/A and all, and apparently my friend with a mitsubishi starion has a hard time taking one on the Long beach bridge.
