h2oiamwater
I agree with the others, it was hard to follow, but lets see if I got it right...Basically when trying to connect the second sub, some wire frayed and touched + and - and now a sub is not working right. What kind of amp is it (brand? mono or 2channel?) and what kind of subs? Do you have access to an ohm meter or multi-meter? try reconnecting everything paying special attention to phase (proper +and- hooked up)What it sounds like to me is that it's out of phase with the other sub (the + and - are switched) and the one sub cancels out the other. try reversing the red and black wire on the second sub and see if that makes a differenceits a two channel amp at 1000 watts and two 650 watt subs i dont know muhch more given i got them off a buddy who had the amp painted and all that so.....but it could be that i just didnt pay attention and could have mistakenly plugged them in wrong. but i was just scared because i thought i might have blown the amp because all my fuses were good and the amp fuse was good...but tomoro i will try and do it thanks
VolvoKid4Life
Ok well i am a young kid and totally understand what you are saying. The things is man you are F'd. You didnt blow a fuse because if u blew a fuse nothing would work but since u get some sound and not much then you F'ed up your subs. Sorry but you eather have to get them professionaly fixed or just get new ones.ALOHA

Jozone
For the record, Subaru is still rice (sorry bing --- yours is aight)...Essentially, I think you are probably skrewed, and since it was your brother/buddy who got you into this, you should ask him to hook the subs back up to his amp and see what happens (no real way subs could damage the amp --- the converse is NOT true.. aka dont test your amp with anyone elses subs)..Besides that check the fuses (I know many people have said this, but theres been times where I neglected to realize that it was the fuse on the power wire from the battery that had actually blown).Good luck (and pay some more attention in english class ). S70driver2
Ummmm yea and then it was like those touched and then this happened then lahfoadshgoipayhtoignvcvhjoaitMake actual sentences HAHA that was good....... seriously rephrase that post cuz i'm like reading it and can't tell exactly what you're talking about because commas are not used and commas are an integral part of the english language so when you don't use them people tend to get kinda lost in what you're saying then all of a sudden you're wondering if they're just rambling on about nothing instead of actually posing a coherent question and i wonder if you even know what you're doing at all with car stereo because switiching a sub from one completely wired car to another is something my club-footed retarded gerbil could do without screwing upthis was even gooder :D
