yeah, browse my ipod with no titles showing and going 1 at a time through 5300 songs (24GB of music)

I know, I thought of that, but the ones that you can control through the deck just arent well done right now. Maybe in some time they'll get a better solution

well, if you're asking to use the stock sc-XX radio and have the titles show, that stuff aint gonna happen man.

and it doesn't have to be one at a time through all of it. set up multiple playlists and skip 10 at a time if you want.

actually, you don't even need to do that. there are two modes to the usa-spec one. one where you control what is played through the ipod FROM the ipod, just selecting which playlist to go from, almost exactly the same as throwing a cd into the deck.

the other is completly controlled through the deck as i assumed.

I am no Ipod guru. My question is are all Ipods the same in the sense that the charger port size is the same on all of them?

Because I don't want to get the adapter and the cord not fit in the bottom of my Ipod.

No, it needs to have a dock connector on the bottom for it to work with the Blitzsafe adapter. Unless you want to use RCA cables from a Y-Adapter on the headphone jack. If I remember, the first and second generation iPods don't have a dock connector, where the rest (starting with the click wheel version?) do.

Buy BlitzSafe here and it works fine and will charge ipod;

I use with SC-901 radio and iPod Mini 6GB & iPod Video 60GB

So has anyone used this website for an Ipod adapter kit?

They have one for my car but it is $199.99 very pricey IMO.

I am going to stick with the one I bought, but was just wondering.

Hey!!

Check out www.ipdusa.com !!!!!!!!!!!

They have developed a device that interfaces directly with the stock radio. You can then control your IPOD with the CD Changer controls on your stock stereo. It is pretty cool. Let me know what you think!!

For the love of god, read the entire thread first, its not that long! Also, USASpec makes the exact same thing and you can find it for 110-130$, thats 60-80$ less than ipd. I'm fine with controlling it though the ipod, although it would be nice after using this to control through the deck. Gimme a few mins I'll post a write-up.

I use the blitzsafe adapter with dock connector and it works pretty well. I can't see how using the decks controls to navigate through music can be any nicer than Apple's interface. With the dock connector the iPod is always charging and automatically pauses when you turn off the ignition. As far as install aesthetics go, I removed the ashtray from under the HU, pulled the adapter cable through, and replaced the ashtray. Pretty pleased.

I just put my ipod on the passenger seat when I'm using it, or in my lap when someone is in the passenger seat. This way I can easily go to the next song or artist, instead of having to open the armrest while driving. I have the cable tucked up between the console and carpet on the passenger side. When I'm not in the car, I put the end of the cable in between the seat and the ipod in the console so it is hidden.
