how bout removing your NA-ness?

yeah, owning a turbo model would more then make up for any weight savings you are gaining. And you can still seat people in the rear of your car!:rolleyes:

Who said I have NA?

hmmm, unless you already have one, then I blame RvolvoR for my mistake

i think its a really cool idea to turn any car into a "race car" i kinda did the same thing with my old jetta (racing buckets, roll cage etc.. etc.. )by dropping weight, but some how i dont see the point in doing so with a volvo, i have though about it several times to strip my whole interior just leave the carpet and just install a cuple buckets a role cage and some harnesses, then remove several other things such as the sunroof motor etc..etc... but i feel like if i did all that to my car, it wouldn’t be what it was ment to be anymore. i feel like volvo 850's are supposed to be nice comfortable not to fast but fast enough safe sedans, that have front wheel drive for saftey and snowy conditions, and have an automatic tranny because volvo doesn’t think us US guys want a stick in our turbo cars...

more power to you though, take some pics when you have the interior sorted out. let me recommend that you do leave carpet in your car even if your stripping everything else out, it wont only look better but it will make it a bit easier to drive every day, it also only weights about 10lb's.

Nah, the carpet was all old and moldly, even after a few washings, carpet cleaner, etc. It was on it's way out. I've had the carpet out for some time now and kind of enjoy the clean metal look.

I hope to take some pictures soon for those interested. But all in all, it has made a big difference in performance in handling and acceleration, but this is not for the faint of heart. I got the car for dirt cheap a while back and it's not exactly a classic either so I'm just having fun.

I'm also going to go to town on the dash soon, it's like the final frontier for me in this car. I really don't know what's under there from personal experience but I look forward to finding out. :D
