All right need some help, I am looking at moving and I really can go anywhere right now. Completely unattached. I am looking for a Urban setting somewhere in a populated city. I need to be able to find a job in a marketing capacity for someone with 5yrs experience. Please if your under the age of 20 dont respond, all you know is your local shopping mall.

You consider Houston, TX? Cost of living is so low down here ($300k home here is worth 1-1.5 mil in florida or cali), southern hospitatality and we are rated somewhere on the top 5 as the best places to work. I'm not too aware of what marketing positions are available here in houston, but then again i'm not in the industry. Just another option if you haven't considered it.

God NO!

Anywhere west coast :D

You never lived in DFW. You lived in Houston... very different, young man  .

If he goes north, make it NW (Washington... maybe Oregon if you like hippies). That's definitely somewhere I'd consider living.

chicago, on the other hand, is in need of more idiots <_<

I kid I kid.

I vote Chicago, cuz that's my favorite city in the united states. if i didn't have such a good job and USC in los angeles, I'd be in Chicago.

Texas really isnt my speed, I have been to all the big cities there except Austin and never have really been impressed. I want to go somewhere different than where I have been. I have lived in Atlanta since I was born. All of my family on the other hand is in Buffalo. I feel the north is a better fit. Also I want to go somewhere I can ski, hence Denver. LA wouldnt be bad either but its just really expensive out there for homes. I imagine wherever I go after a few years and contemplate starting a family I will move back to Atlanta because my parents still are here.

Denver is cool if you are really into skiing. A good friend of mine is there for school and she says that that is al people do there is ski, that there really isn't much else to do and she hates it. Go somewhere that has a more diverse activites. Like Seattle or Portland. Maybe you could get a job with Nike, Adidas, Intel, Columbia Sportswear, Patagonia...........the list of huge but cool corps here just goes on and on ;)

For you guys who dont know I am Marketing Coordinator at Maxxis Tires, I am in charge of event sponsorship(NOPI, UROC, Formula D), driver sponsorship (too many to list), tradeshows (SEMA), and advertising (Sport Compact Car, Import Tuner, JP, OffRoad). My motorcycle counterpart just left to work for Scott in Sun Valley Idaho. Thats what got the wheels spinning, she is making a nearly double the amount we were being payed here for doing the same thing at another company. I may consider the PacNW but I have never been there, so that would be a real jump to consider it. But I will look at the jobs they have up and probably consider it now.

Tell you what, come out here for a weekend.....

5 hours from Whistler/Blackhomb aka the greatest ski resort in the world.

Seattle's a big Metro City, but it sure feels small.

From May to September temps are about 70-80, 20% humidity, nice breeeze off Puget Sound..

Lots of Marketing Opps here too.

i voted boston becuase i have a family there and one of them is in marketing. she has a good job with one of the major banks there and is doing really well. her apt cost alot but she makes alot, also she lives near harvard but im not sure if you wana live near there. there are places around boston that im sure dont cost as much. BUT, and i mean it, boston has the worst streets EVER and the traffic is like crazy!!!! well then i guess you can learn to ride the subway/bus/horse!?! owell hope you find the right city for you. :)

Yeah, you're right. I was just trying to get more Volvo people here since there are so few here. I just saw a C70 for the first time in like a month. Plus, I just realized why I hate living here 8 months out of the year... the weather <_< .

+1 to pac. NW..
