WhiteT5
You ever tested any laser jammers Magik?
SkyWriter
To be honest I haven't tested any for about 2 years now but I tested a ton of them before and none of them did anything but make noises. We tested a few radar jammers and other stuff on a few different phantom and kustom guns and stationary systems and they did practically nothing.Got a better idea instead of wasting money on a useless piece of plastic spend it on some kinda other interior/exterior mod. and just do the speed limit.so by your previous 'ect'..', and 'other stuff', do you mean 'radar detectors'? or jammers? i don't know what else would fall under that category of 'anything else'. I tested both a V1 and a SRX about 3 years ago and both were able to identify Lidar and the signature off a dual stalker as well as some rathyon gun that the MP had. Define "none of them did anything except make noise"I apologize im really tired so my posts are kinda unintelligible. I think I remember only testing 1 laser jammer and I remember it having the same results. The class wasn't focused very long on this so im no expert, i'm going off what i've seen. Also i'm not sure what improvements have come up with these lately so maybe there is working ones.
MaGiK
Well first I am actually a MP as well and I used to be apart of the Traffic Section that deals with traffic enforcement and all traffic accidents. The video that we had watched has tested many differnet radar/laser detectors/jammers and each were completely useless. I remember they were taking them apart and they were basically only filled with lights and electronic sounds. Like I said i'm not expert on radar/laser detectors/jammers but i've been told the facts and i've seen it.

ziddey
haha "any detector that detects both radar and laser"the $20 whistler "detects" laser hells nawbut to anyone who's in a sudden need for a detector, the v1 won't be an option. but circuit city does stock the beltronics, so get the rx65. if you're on the best buy side, then get the passport x50. both are very similar in performance and just slightly behind the v1 in terms of radar. Nothing comes close to the v1 for laser detection though, but really, by the time you've got hit with laser, you're toast anyway, unless you've got a jammer+veil+lasershield, and then you might have a chance, but if you have a jammer, you wouldn't need to rely on your rd for laser detection anyway so it'd be moot. mazzy
I have the Beltronics RX65 and its a really good piece of plastic with a big price. I was able to order mine for 100 dollars less than the manufactures price but other than that it works really good unless the cops have laser or like to turn their radar off until they see a car coming, they are very sneaky but other than that I havent gotten pulled over yet. LIDAR detection with the belscorts is a joke. It's a joke with any radar detector that isn't the v1 really. As for cops using instant-on, that's just the nature of radar detection nowadays, and really the only way you can get around that is by shadowing a rabbit and getting that blip alert when he gets zapped first. No detector will save you from instant-on.But those aside, the rx65 does offer decent detection.
