96PlatinumEdition850
Okay so I bought my wiring harness today to install my new headunit. Unfortunately I have the SC-815 Premium Sound that only has one plug going into the back of the headunit, but my harness has two plugs. From what I'm told some Premium Sound headunits have 2 plugs and some only have 1 like mine. I know I can buy a adapter from Slater or Crazykn from what Bing tells me but I'm REALLY trying to install this bad boy tonight since I unplugged my SC-815 and don't have the code so I have no sound system. Is it possible to tap the wires in somewhere or anything. Any help would be nice, otherwise I need this adapter like overnight! Thanks guys!-Jeff
AnthonyR
Reach further back into the radio opening for the other plug (it's plugged into your Volvo amp) follow the din cable that was plugged into the amp port and it should lead you to it. paulr
I know it's a pain to wire up, but in the long run wouldn't it be better to use the volvo amp over the internal amp of a deck? Even at 50x4, it still should be a lot more powerful then all but the best HU's ? I know you needed your system working stat, but using the volvo amp might be worth it? The adaptors aren't hard to make either, with instructions from the board it can be done in under 30 minutes.
