Playboy
Alright, if you've been on the board long enough then you problely know the story behind this car.If not, well I'll give you a run down. The car was purchased in Jan 04. In April 04 my body shop (found when I was having it detailed) found out that the car had been cut half way down the C piller and underneath the rear seats and another 850 rear end was welded to the rest of the body. I then started the process of sueing the parties involved in the sale, which is still going on. However, I have been given the ok by my lawyers to sell the car. Here's the deal. It is in fact a true R. No, it does no have the R front spoiler or R rear spoiler (if it did it would have been on yellow already). Yes the interior is original R spec and the volans are on it. The car also have the 15-17psi Upsolute chip in her. The car has around 62-65K on her(I have to double check on it). The car hasn't been on the road since Aug 04.When it was driven though, it was very strong. I remember it did have that dreded ABS light come on though from time to time (need that rebuild if I do recall on the computer for the ABS??). It was deemed unsafe to drive per my shop b/c of the pour welding could eventually cause the car to fall apart. It has been sitting at my shop since all of this and has been started a few times (started it in Nov 05). Now, I'm sure I could strip the car and make some good money on all the stuff, but I don't have time for that. I want to sell it as a whole and let someone else part it out.I'm sure if you wanted you could drive it, but I don't suggest it unless you plan on rewelding or putting a roll cage in. I will have papers drawn up by my lawyers stating specifically that whoever buys this car cannot persue me for any loss sustained b/c of the condition of this vehicle. The car does not currently hold a salvaged title (I would have never bought the car if it did) but should according too my contacts.I will accept reasonable offers only! I'm going to head up to the shop in the next week or so and take some updated pics of the vehicle for you all too see. I have no way of transporting the vehicle b/c I have no plates on it so that would need to be done by the buyer. I want to sell this fast before the car starts to age more by sitting there and having those parts no good to anyone. by the way, the tires on the car too have about 75% tred left but I dunno if they flat spoted b/c of sitting that long.Anyways, let me know guys and I'll do the best I can to answer and questions or concerns. I'm sure most people can vouch on here that I'm a reasonable, honest guy and I won't beat around the bush on things, especially something like that. If you are looking for a starter project car and are handy w/ the torch, this is for you! Here are a few pics of the car.-Ryan back when I first bought the car....2nd or 3rd month of ownershipinterior is in really good shape the arrows point to the weld.... C-piller welded together another pic of the weld under the back seat.

HERES EVERYTHING YOU NEED!Thanks Bri, appricate it.Ya, I still haven't gotten a dime out of the lawsuit (been going on now for 2 years) and I told my lawyers I need to sell the car b/c I need the $$ for my new living arrangements (moving in with the girlfriend). I paid 12 grand for the car a few years ago which at the time was a good deal b/c 12 is low for a 96 w/ 60K or so on the clock. I know I won't get 12 for this car, nor do I expect it but considering all things. But those parts are worth some coin though. If I had the time/space I would part the thing out but I have neither.-RyanFYI, maybe I wasn't clear enough in my first post (sorry) but you can drive the car, it will run and shows no visable signs of damage, it's just that from the c-piller back another 850 rear end was welded into play. Playboy
No R rear spoiler? I wonder where that went... Good luck Ryan Thanks Carson, me too buddy. At the time of purchase of this car I wasn't that much into modding and really didn't mind not having the spoilers. Now, as you know, I would kill for one of those wings lol -Ryannever came w/ one...we had a discussion before he knew about the car that the dude did not like not being able to see miata's on his bumper on coilovers riding on the fender wells and removed the wing more or less trav hahaha I was also told that he didn't want the R front spoiler anymore b/c he would scrape and bottom it out all the time pulling into parking spots and his driveway and the regular spoiler would work better. Playboy
Assemble the army!Trust me, I wish I could take the old-school way of doing things. I have a friend from college who once told me if I needed "anything" to let him know and I don't mean weed. These people would break some knees and beat up your wife/kids kinda people But, thats the last thing I need to be involved in as much as it would rawk though!-Ryan

West
Yeah, I know... figured it was worth a shot. Maybe if someone needs a motor and already has a set of Volans they'll keep me in mind...?
